What is STAR?
Student Technological Assistance and Resources (STAR) is an independent division within the Telecommunication and Networking (T&N) department at UW-Stout. STAR is a students-managed organization that's focus is to provide students with a solid background in technical skills and customer service, benefiting them and prospective employers.
What does STAR do at the University?
STAR employees are responsible for delivering technology services to the campus community in a wide variety of functional area in the following four plus areas: Ask-5000 Help Desk, PC Repair, Printer Repair, Telecommunication, and Departmental Computer Labs.
Who works for STAR?
STAR employs about 100 students from a variety of academic majors at UW-Stout. Equal opportunity is extended to all students who apply regardless of academic major. STAR is not limited to being staffed by students, STAR is entirely managed by students of UW-Stout.
